Is the helmet certified?

Yes. The Vortex™ is certified to ECE (E13) and DOT (FMVSS 218) as an open-face helmet.

Which size do I need?

Measure your head about 2.5 cm above your eyebrows, horizontally around the widest part: M 57–58 cm, L 59–60 cm, XL 61–62 cm, XXL 63–64 cm. A helmet should fit snugly without pressure points.

Does the chin mask make it a full-face helmet?

No. The Vortex™ is an open-face helmet. The removable chin mask protects your face from wind, cold and insects and gives the helmet its look, but it is not a certified chin bar.

Can I ride without the chin mask?

Yes. Remove it in seconds for a classic open-face look – ideal for summer and city riding.

How does the sun visor work?

The tinted inner visor is operated with a slider on the left side of the helmet. Push it forward or back to lower or raise the visor while riding.

Can I wash the liner?

Yes. The liner and cheek pads are fully removable and washable, so your helmet stays fresh.

Can I fit a Bluetooth headset?

Yes. The helmet has built-in recesses for headset speakers and a microphone. A headset is not included.

How heavy is the helmet?

About 1,400 g (±50 g), depending on size.
